Visiting Assistant Professor Small Animal Surgery
Job Summary
A one-year visiting assistant professor position will be available as early as May 1, 2023. Clinical assignment will be 60-70%; the exact distribution of time between small animal soft tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery will depend upon the interests of the candidate and section needs. Time away from clinical duty will be provided to study for the ACVS examination and vacation. Participation in didactic and small group teaching is expected and there will be opportunities for research collaboration for interested applicants. The successful candidate is expected to promote an atmosphere of collegiality and support cultural diversity in the College.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the position include a DVM or equivalent degree, and board certification or completion of a residency program registered by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Salary will be commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience. A background check is required for employment in this position by the University.
