Research Administrative Coordinator

Job Summary

Research Administrative Coordinator for PI4D (Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology, and Infectious Disease) will facilitate and assist in managing multidisciplinary research projects with coordination of project activities; communication of sponsor requirements; interact with internal and external parties.  Assemble data, prepare, edit and aid in the submission of proposals and reports. Manage production/printing and distribution of materials. Coordinate meetings, conferences, itineraries, and review sessions for staff.  Assist leadership team when requested, for Institute activities.  
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • One (1) year of office management or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment 
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
  • Experience interacting with faculty, students, and staff in a university setting
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve; knowledge of university procedures, regulations, and structure
  • Must demonstrate excellence in oral and written communication, including editing and organizational skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to handle basics with budgets/spreadsheets

Preferred:

  • Proposal coordination experience with federal funding agencies
  • Familiarity with biomedical research administration
