Work at Earhart dining court.   Must be able to work nights 4- 8:30 pm and weekend hours.  Great way to meet new people.  Learn skills for your resume such as time management, communication, and teamwork.  

Free meal with every shift worked.  Flexible scheduling around classes and extracurricular activities. Most students work 10-12 hours per week.

 Job Summary:

The student associate is responsible for basic food related services at the direction of their supervisor.  Standard responsibilities include maintaining high quality food, providing excellent customer service, setting up operation, cleaning equipment, operating kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean dining area, rotating and stocking products, and other duties as assigned.  Must serve and stock food products including food and service ware in designated areas.  Will work in various stations throughout the operation.  This position requires handling food items, including animal products.  Any accommodation related to food allergies may have to be reported and approved by the university ‘s disability resource center.   In certain cases, student associates may be required to have knowledge and understanding of the point-of-sale system    

Sanitation

Keep the work area clean.  Clean and sanitize equipment.  Maintain and clean the dining area by wiping tables and chairs, cleans up spills and reports breakage.  Handle all food and leftovers according to established ServSafe guidelines.

Customer Service Image

Present and promote a positive image of Purdue Dining and Culinary through business-like conduct, attitude and appearance.  Customer service-focused, exhibiting helpful, friendly and courteous service.

Schedule

Demonstrate punctual, reliable and consistent attendance. Work the entire semester including finals week. Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
