What You’ll Do
- Guide students in course selection, academic planning, and university navigation
- Maintain supportive, proactive communication with assigned students through consistent outreach
- Use data and degree audits to monitor progress and provide timely advising interventions
- Identify opportunities for student engagement through academic programs and campus activities
- Connect students with campus resources to foster success, confidence, and well-being
- Promote an inclusive environment that values authenticity, respect, and mutual understanding
Senior Academic Advisor Opportunities
As a Senior Academic Advisor in the College of Pharmacy, you will be an integral role in the student’s academic journey. This position serves as recruiter of undergraduate students for the College of Pharmacy, and works with students when they matriculate to campus through graduation, working with both Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science and Doctor of Pharmacy students.

What We're Looking For
Education and Experience Required:
- Must have an earned graduate or professional degree in a field relevant to the position
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience required
Preferred:
- Experience with student advising
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Must be able to collaborate with faculty, staff, students and parents
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and administer academic policy necessary
- Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and resolve conflict
- Basic skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Preferred:
- Knowledge of programs and majors at Purdue University
